Professional Packages
Professional Packages are based on the loan amount and offer rate discounts depending on the amount of borrowings. They are usually based on all the features of a Standard Variable loan with the added benefit of the rate discount and multiple loan splits.
Advantages
One annual fee is charged and there are usually no other ongoing fees.- No application fees.

- You have the flexibility of choosing the loan products e.g. fixed, interest only.

Disadvantages
- Some lenders may only have a few splits available that may restrict future investments.
- The annual fee can be expensive (usually between $300 and $400).
- There may be too many features that you don’t need to be paying extra for.
Construction Loans
Construction loans are for customers looking to build on an existing block of land, rebuild an existing property or buy a house & land package. The loan balances increases progressively during the construction period and the repayments required increase as the loan balance increases.
During the construction period repayments are usually interest only until the house is completed. Loans will revert to principal and interest at the completion of construction and sometimes the product can be changed at this time. The interest rates charged are usually not much higher than the standard variable rate, however, extra fees may be charged for construction draw downs and additional valuations required throughout the construction process.
If you are an owner builder, construction loans are also available under stricter conditions.
